This light source is designed to illuminate the field of view of the Peak 2008 Direct Measurement Microscope. The assembly is designed to fit under the clear acrylic base of the microscope to provide bright, uniform illumination across the field of view while holding the microscope. The Peak 2008 Microscope does not include a light source, resulting in low brightness conditions especially apparent in high-magnification versions of the microscope.
