Max Levy Autograph (MLA) applies EMI shielding to domes and windows which provides optimal balance between optical transmission and RF shielding.

EMI shielding protects critical infrared, multi-spectral, and visible navigation, targeting, reconnaissance, and surveillance equipment. MLA’s capability to manufacture EMI-shielding layers meets the requirements for shielding efficiency, diffraction effects, and optical transmission.

Capabilities:

  • Patterns can be applied to multiple faces of either plano or curved surfaces
  • Programming resources to develop rectilinear, hub-and-spoke, or other grid types
  • Metalizing recipes tailored to meet specific resistive or conductive electrical requirements
  • Small line widths (5 µm) over large areas (300 mm x 300 mm or greater)
  • 100% inspection to meet defect criteria (Automated Microscopic Inspection)

Substrate materials can include:

  • Sapphire
  • ZnS, ZnSe, Multispectrals
  • Germanium
  • Alon, Spinel
  • Fused Silica

Working closely together with its sister company, LightWorks Optical Systems, MLA has the manufacturing capability to cost-effectively produce EMI-shielded windows for any of the three protective configurations: AOI and wavelength ranges, diffracted energy, and frequency ranges.
