Max Levy Autograph (MLA) has developed proprietary techniques to pattern both Radomes and Flexible substrates. These substrates may require Frequency Selective Surfaces (FSS) to provide enhanced performance, such as increased transmittance at steep incidence angles, or for low observability (or stealth). The surfaces of these substrates may include patterned conductive, resistive, or dielectric materials, often in a series of complementary layers.
Radomes are a very unique structure that is required for environmental protection of sensitive radio frequency electronics such as imaging radar, GPS, and communications components. Our Flexible FSS substrates or Low Observable Films can conform to a variety of shapes and are available in standard sizes of 14" X 50' and the thickness can range as small as 0.0001".
