 These precision English/Metric Microscales are manufactured from very durable tempered glass. They include magnifiers and are ideally suited for direct measurement of two dimensional parts and axial calibration of Optical and other Two Dimensional X-Y Stages and Measurement Systems. The magnifiers are readily removed and the scale can be used as a calibrated linear projection pattern for Optical Comparators. Microscales are extensively used in combination with our Grid Light Boxes to measure large photoplotted images, and two dimensional patterns and parts. The Microscale English/Metric patterns are etched into the .220”/5.6mm tempered glass and filled with MIL-I-43533 Epoxy. The standard epoxy fill material is red for maximum contrast to film phototooling. Optional black or white fill or unfilled Microscales are also available. A carrying case is also provided to protect the Microscale during storage. Use of the Microscale instead of the MicroRule is indicated where bottom lighting is not available or where top lighting is very limited and the pattern being checked is of low contrast. Use of the unfilled Microscale is indicated for edge lighting applications. In addition to the standard “Certificate of Accuracy” with NIST Traceability, any Microscale can be individually calibrated to provide “Certified Calibration” Traceable to N.I.S.T. | ||
