Master Calibration Artifact

The Master Calibration Artifact ("MCA") is intended for use by Calibration Professionals with Optical Comparators and other Measuring Systems. As a Reference Standard, the Artifact has all Dimensional and Geometric elements etched in Chromium deposited onto the "back" surface of Photo Quality Select Soda Lime Float Glass. The Glass substrate ensures dimensional stability of the extremely accurate patterns.

No other mechanical reference offers a more comprehensive or accurate evaluation of a Comparator or Optical Measuring Machine. The MCA allows you to extract the maximum potential from your equipment and Video enhancements. It provides rapid and accurate analyses of major phenomena, including:

  • Vertical and Horizontal Linear Accuracy
  • Squareness
  • Perpendicularity
  • Circular and Angular Calculation and Interpolation
  • Bi-axial Step Gaging
  • Repeatability
  • Magnification and Multiplier Function Verification.

  • SCALE SETS: Two Linear Scales in a 90 Degree perpendicular relationship with Origin of each to intersect at Mechanical ”0,0”. Line Accuracy ±0.0000 40”; end to end Overall Accuracy ± 0.000 120”. ENGLISH SCALES:    Horizontal 6.00” / Vertical 3.00”; all increments of 0.001”. METRIC SCALES:   Horizontal 150mm / Vertical 75mm; increments of 0.025mm.

  • SQUARE SETS: English in increments of .100”. Metric in 1.0mm.
  • ANGLE CHART / PROTRACTOR: 360 Degree Radial Display with six Angles Each Quadrant in 15 Degree increments.
